About the event
This training is for hedgehog rehabilitators who work with a vet or veterinary staff to enable them to provide first aid care to hoglets.
The training is provided by Wild Hogs Hedgehog Rescue founder Jo Bisley, and manager Emily Harper. Jo has over 13 years of experience of hedgehog care and has developed a hoglet care programme that she will share with you. Following this programme, Wild Hogs have successfully hand-reared hoglets from as little as 15g.Â
Emily has been with Wild Hogs for 6 years, and is the rescue manager, sharing hoglet care duties. She is studying for a PhD in hedgehog parasitology, stress and physiology. The hoglet caring programme was reviewed as part of Emily's Masters Degree and she will share the results of the study that provide evidence of the success rates of the hoglet care programme.
There will be a chance to ask questions and all of the training with extra tips and a case study are shared in the hoglet care booklet.
